2018 14th Goofy Charity – Eagle’s Nest Novelty Par 3 Competition
- Eligibility
Participation in the Eagle’s Nest Novelty Competition (“Competition”) shall be on a voluntary basis only. The Competition is open to all golfers who have voluntarily signed up and have paid the designated entry fee for the Competition prior to the start of the day’s tournament.
Upon entry, each eligible participant shall be issued with an Eagle’s Nest Competition Card.
- Winners’ Pot
Half of the total entry fees collected (capped at S$500) from all eligible participants shall be set aside and designated as the Winners’ Pot.
The remainder of all entry fees collected shall be donated to charity.
- Competition Rules
After teeing off from any Par 3 hole (Holes 2, 6, 11 or 13), if the Participant’s golf ball comes to rest inside the demarcated 3-foot circle around the pin (i.e. gimme putt), he or she shall be deemed to have achieved an Eagle’s Nest and shall be entitled to 1 share of the Winner’s Pot.
Each eligible participant shall be entitled to a maximum of 1 share of the winners’ pot regardless of the number of Eagle’s Nest he or she has achieved at any of the Par 3 holes on course.
Declaration of achievement of an Eagle’s Nest shall be on an Honours System, i.e. the both the Player and his/her designated marker in the flight must sign on the Eagle’s Nest Competition Card stating the Hole number in which the Eagle’s Nest was achieved.
The signed Eagle’s Nest Competition Card shall be submitted together with the scorecard at the end of the round. Any unsigned Competition Card shall be deemed null and void, and the winning share voided.
In the event of any disputes, the Organizing Committee’s decision is final and binding.
- Payout of Winners’ Pot
The Winners’ Pot shall be shared equally (rounded down to nearest S$) amongst all eligible winning shares.
If eligible, HIO winner(s) shall also be entitled to his/her/their share of the Winners’ Pot.
In the event that there are zero winning shares, the Winner’s Pot shall be donated to Charity.
- Other Terms
By entering into this Competition, each participant agrees that the Organizing Committee shall not be liable for injury, loss, claims or damage of any kind arising out of or in connection with participating in this Competition, the participants’ acts omissions or negligence, and/or from the acceptance or use/misuse of the Winner’s Pot.
Each participant agrees to waive and release the Organizing Committee from the above-mentioned claims and liabilities. This includes, without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy, to the extent not prohibited by applicable written laws.
